CRADAR for Android
Every time I tap "add contact" it freezes and locks up my phone.
So far no false reports. Dropped my phone while getting off the bike and it sent a message to my contact. However, I am having issues with it providing the GPS location. Each test text and when I slam the phone to force a detected fall it will shows in the text (My phone detected a fall. I may be injured. GPS not available.) I have given the app permissions for GPS and I turn on my GPS before I activate the APP. Also when I dropped my phone getting off my bike the app did not tell me it detected the fall and never gave me the (I'm okay) option to stop it from sending the report. So when I got home from my ride my room mates were running out the door and getting into the car to start driving around to find me. If this app wont get my GPS then how do they know where to look? I could be dead before anyone finds me as I live in the country and there are a LOT of back roads I drive on. I have checked and checked again for a setting or a way to make it detect my GPS and even searching google for a answer failed to yield any results. 3 stars because it detected a fall and still could save my life. I just have to give driving routs to contact so they know where to look.
Closes when I try add contacts. Kind of useless now. Didn't have this issue on my old Droid Maxx. Uninstalling
Cannot load emergency contacts, app shuts down. Doesn't work as a result.
Cannot load contacts, app crashes. Note 4
Great app. Works as it should. Can adjust sensitivity and edit contacts to call. I have recommended it to all of my friends. Never had a crash, but glad to have it available. Nexus 4
Every time I tap "add contact" it freezes and locks up my phone.
Not working. Tried loading contacts and program crashed. Uninstalling from this device.
Doesn't work perfect with every phone. Most, however, it does.
Love this app. The only thing keeping me from 5 stars is that it will throw multiple fall alerts. I can click I'm okay but the alarm is going off still and ends up texting with no way of canceling.
I'm using this on a dirt bike and I can't slam my phone hard enough to get the settings to not send out a false alarm.
This is a really nice app to have, it works as described, and now the addition of being able to add multiple people to the contact list and the adjustable sensitivity make the app so much better. Made me come just to rate 5 stars.
If you ride motorcycles or do anything else that's dangerous, do your loved ones (and yourself) a favor and get this app. It's a great idea and the dev is quick to reply to questions. I've got it set it alert my best bud, not my girlfriend because she'll freak out. I told him if he can't reach me by phone after he gets the text to call 911, then call my girlfriend. Tip for s5 users: hold the recent apps button to get to the sensitively setting.
Use to be great for use of hunting and motorcycle riding, will not activate on my S4 galaxy.
Good to know someone is watching
A great app that's surprisingly free. Works great with my nexus prime and provides an awesome peace of mind when I'm out riding.
Great app but won't continuously monitor on droid 2.2. It will monitor for a while and then it won't be there all of a sudden. Still pretty sensitive.
June app update screwed battery usage. Had to delete app. :-(
Too sensitive and does not work while phone is asleep, would work great for officers on patrol if fixed HTC aria
It's a cool idea but would be nice if can work with google voice sms.
Whoa! Turned it on, slid phone keyboard closed... and woke my spouse @ 5 am. UNINSTALLED. Droid2
Pretty good. Least sensitive setting could be lower and a custom message would be nice
Great app, needs to be able to send a longer messag. Can there be a function to monitor without GPS, but to activate GPS if crash is detected?
Good idea, but too sensitive to be used even jogging. Uninstalled.
Great concept, emailed author regarding sensitivity. Quick reply, there is a menu feature to adjust it, just not documented.
Very cool idea but still too sensitive. Setting the phone on a desk at ultra low still sets it off
I have an EVO phone and unless I have an application open that is using GPS it will not send my location in the text msg. I have tried this on 2 EVOs
Sensitivity is still to high. I use this when hiking and rough terrain causes it to go off in my backpack. Please lower.
5 stars if U add another LOWER sensitivity setting. Goes off in pocket sometimes when walking dogs. Works great on Droid 2,2. Duke
Wish list. I use a sensitivity of 2 but to get to it I have ro shake the phone to detect it. How about adding more sensitivity buttons between 1 and 4 to allow this?
I ride a Road Glide Ultra, usually alone. At the least, someone will be notified and my location noted.
The app is really good, but needs a gps bases error check to verify false positives. The app will be great if and when that is added.
There are no checks and balance... No alert for "no GPS data" Agree, should also check GPS position while waiting for operator to stop txt and should auto stop if user is still moving. Definitely needs more than one contact selection. Numerical input fir "custom" crash sensitivity. I would pay if it included these options.
Haven't field tested it yet, but works really well flopping onto my bed. Two thingss, tho. The text it's sending me comes as an mms. The words can't be read, and the link to the map doesn't work. I have to hold it in, copy text, and paste into browser. Annoying, but can work around. I use Go SMS for texting. Second, perhaps the alarm should keep sounding after the text is sent? It would be like the horn of a car going off after a crash. If you're off the trail, passerbys would hear you.
Excellent idea. Sensitivity needs work, though. A manual entry for sensitivity in addition to the "custom" hit-or-drop setting would be ideal.
Love the simplicity of the UI and the custom sensitivity setting. Should only do the tap to setup contact once and then force a menu selection after
It's either too sensitive, or I have to drop it on concrete to get it to go off. If it's in my pocket a pot hole will set it off, or if I do crash, the padding of my jacket will stop it. HTC Desire hd.
Great concept. Works pretty well from my experimentation. Hopefully never have to use it. Question for dev though, what if phone uses lockscreen?
Sharing w all the m/f's and r/c's I know.
