About Volume Tuner
The purpose of this app is to automatically adjust the ringer volume based on the environmental noise.
When the phone rings Volume Tuner analyzes the noise and computes the best ringer volume. When the call ends the volume is set back to the previuos level. The silent mode is honored by leaving at zero the volume level.
The next planned version will add support for incoming SMS.

It sets the volume to a low, seemingly hardcoded level, no matter how much external noise there is. I placed my phone on my speaker while blasting Music. It still set the volume to low. Same thing with complete silence.

Works perfectly. Am willing to pay for a version that can trigger the vibrate notification as well. Nice to have this user configurable based on ambient noise, in pocket detection based on the proximity sensor, and maybe time of day. GREAT APP!!!

Looks nice. Ring dimmer was killing my battery as its contently checking the mic, not just when the phone rings, like this
