Your privacy is preserved since a document used for notarization is not stored in our database. We store a document’s cryptographic certificate (SHA 256) that is generated client side, along with a transaction ID that is generated when the cryptographic certificate data is recorded in the blockchain OP_RETURN output.
In this way, once a document has been notarized, you can verify its proof of existence since the document is now timestamped in the bitcoin blockchain.
