Very useful app!

Excellent app and thermostat

Away radius function works well now. Love all the features. Better than Honeywell by far. One complaint is that it uses an ad hoc connection to connect. Windows 10 and Android don't use that anymore. So I have to dust off an older OS computer I had lying around. The thermostat is pretty much obsolete now.

N70%
by N####:

It would be nice if there was a way to select total runtime for my house instead of just individual. I have 3 locations in my house 1 heat/AC and 2 separate heat zones.

X70%
by X####:

It takes me 3-5 taps to get it to finally respond. Every. Time. So annoying.

X70%

Android is a common OS. Please update Thermostat so it can be setup by Android devices.

This new UI is much better. Unfortunately there seems to be no way to tell if the thermostat actually accepted any changes. Sometimes I will change the temperature or turn the system off from my phone and nothing will happen. When I refresh the app I'll often find that the settings never actually changed. Edit: I no longer recommend this thermostat. Get a nest. For the last year I have had to change the temperature 3 sometimes 4 times before it takes.

Have used this with 5 units, and all have worked perfectly. Highlights of this system: 1-thermostat continues to follow scheduled program even if internet is down, 2-can connect via pc as well as phone/tablet, 3-has hourly usage recorded, 4-can connect directly to the thermostat as long as you are on the same network (even if internet is down), 5-ALWAYS reconnects to the internet/router automatically after a disconnection

Updated my phone to Oreo (Android 8.0) and it wouldn't load runtime data per hour for quite a few days, now it just started working again about a week later (10/24/17). Seems to be working fine now.

X70%
by X####:

This has been a solid app for a few years now, but recently I've noticed a couple bugs: 1) sometimes temperature change settings dont apply to the thermostat, and it takes a couple of attempts before the stat accepts a change. 2) the runtime per hour feature randomly stopped working, and hasn't worked for several weeks now.

Disappearing widget solved cant have app stored on external sd card. When can we control with Google Home?

This app worked for me great for last 3 to four years. Unfortunately ever since I upgraded to a Note 8 with latest Android version and since latest RadioTheromostat update, the app has been very unresponsive and unstable. Maybe 1 out of 5 tries it responds to me trying to turn it on or off or change the temperature making it useless. Now I am forced to look into what the competition is offering. Too bad :-( Update: I noticed that the issue happens mainly when I am not connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the unit. Meaning that when I am connecting to the unit through my phone's internet while at home or away, the connection and response is terrible as described above. When I am at home and my phone is connected to same Wi-Fi, the unit seems to still respond well. It used to respond well before even if not at home. This is Still a problem for me as I often times try to access and control the unit while away from house ...

Works great on my S5. I have two RADIO CT50 thermostats in my home. Relatively easy setup, and the app is a breeze to use. I love the geofence capability, it's a money saver if I leave something on. Update 08/10/17: Everything went on the fritz the other day. I know have a Galaxy S8 BTW, which it worked great with for months. All of the sudden the other day, the location kept setting itself away, so I changed the password. Now, I can't set the location at all. Says my address is invalid....

Overall looks like a great app. Except only iOS when configuring the thermostat. Then have to have old Win or iOS!!! A pain. 20% of the planet runs on iOS and you leave Android out of it when actually setting up the IoT device.

Your password reset links are redirecting to your home page. So if you forget your password, you're essentially locked out for good.

Would be nice if radius functionality could figure out my location, but doesn't even seem to know where Toronto is?! Google Maps knows though?

A70%

Have it controlling a pellet stove. Nice to be able to control it remotely. Update: added some control circuits and now controlling a swamp cooler - remote controlled AC!

X70%

Read a way to turn off "away heat" and "away cool" function permanently. While I am away does not mean there is no one or no pet at home.

I found the app turning on and changing temps on its own. This app suffers from not asking for confirmation. Samsung phones have a tendency to go crazy when in your pocket if the screen is accidentally placed toward your body. A simply confirmation screen would aleviate a lot of unexpected thermostat changes

T-mobile s7 edge radius server setup fails, location not found. This has been broken for well over a year, it appears this app is no longer being updated. Just bought two Nest thermostats for the radius functionality. Buyer beware!

X70%

Initial setup is a little awkward when customer service has to call you back and they don't tell you well... But for me it's worked flawlessly for about five six seven years now!

X70%

Simple UI gets the job done. Can easily set temperatures and schedule, and review reports on temperature and furnace time on. Had some problems with latest version setting the temperature locally though - seems to only update cloud.

Thanks for the update! Can you release a firmware update so we can connect to the WiFi adapter without an ad-hoc connection? Windows 10 does not work with this. Thanks

D70%

Okay, now I get program offers for crap I am not eligible for before I can adjust my settings. I will find a new thermostat and throw your garbage in the trash.

D70%

Was great..what happened? The thermostat reset due to router switch. S7 android can't find it and Windows 10 won't connect... how am I suppose to fix it without an iphone?

X70%

I bought 3 thermostats and with this very useful tool I have saved 600 dollars from last years heating bill. My furnace is so much more efficient now.

O70%

It needs some settings options. I keep getting messages every time someone overrides the setback when I'm not home.

Nice temperature adjustment features

Y70%

Works well. Scheduling is easy to setup, love how you can see furnace/ac runtimes in a graph. Radius feature is also great, but DEVELOPERS, can we adjust the location update frequency manually in future updates? Every 5 minutes seems excessive.
