OBDLink (OBD car diagnostics)

The app, paired with the OBDLink modules, works with most any vehicle. It does a good job of connecting and reading ECM codes. The virtual dashboard looks pretty but is marginally useful. There is no ability to change any ECM parameters or tuning. The app cannot read SRS or Anti-lock brake controllers. If your air bag light is on this app won't help you with that. This is far from a serious diagnostic tool. If you are racing or making vehicle modifications, this app won't help much. And also, if the app says there are no diagnostic codes, that doesn't mean the vehicle will pass inspection. So, it is what it is.

This app has great features for the dials and the ability to customize them. It's in another leave when it comes to the this relative to Torque. Unfortunately, the app seems to employ some damping filter to the real time gauge read outs that make the gauges much more laggy and viscous compared to the gauges in Torque I hope the developer can add an option for this... To bypass the filtering, and this app would be 5 stars.

I have a OBDlink sx (USB) and I can not get it to work on my chromebook )asus fllpbook) I have tried both torque pro, and this program. it does not work. I wish it did. But oh well. Maybe you guys can give some pointers?

Excellent app for it's intended purpose and provides verbose details when needed. Easy to navigate GUI without any complicated configuration options but an app settings/tuning manual is much needed. Neat and organized. Reviewers must purchase the professional model to satisfy SRS, ABS, etc. needs as with other makers' offerings. You get what you pay for.

Hopefully the app will get better, my Obdlink does not shut down. Power light stays on and Bluetooth light stays blinking 24 hours a day. Mostly for looking at the pretty gauges. I think I could have done better buying the bluedriver scanner.

Latest update, now DOES NOT CONNECT....times out every time I try to connect. Tryed uninstalling then reinstalling, unpairing then repairing. S8+ Tmobile running 7.0... Went to Scan Tool. Net ,looked and found the procedure to recover firmware in forums. Now working again. Maybe was an install issue on my part, but it did irritate the bijezus out of me.

Light is on, says no codes. Tool DOES NOT read anything but ENGINE codes... I need BCM, TCM, ABS, AIR BAG etc!! Please update the tool! NEED MORE DATA!! Esp. Misfire count!!!

Waste of time and respect. This app will only work with their OBD tool. This information should be the first thing in the description and not in the "read more".

While processing a firmware update, it failed at 95%. Now my OBD Link MX Bluetooth is non-functional. Completely bricked!

During latest update, asked to install firmware update - installed, now LX doesn't connect to phone at all. Disappointing, have to rate one star if no resolution found (support on website non-existent, only way to contact OBDLink is here). :(

Great app for Ford, almost all of the PID's we're well identified. A little lacking for Nissan... An update for the Japanese brands would be nice.

Works good. firmware failed to flash 8-21-17. Posted on forums, very fast reply. was able to use the firmware recovery tool on my old phone to get the device reflashed and working again.

Bluetooth connection works perfect since last firmware update. Font is still too small to read in performance section while smartphone is mounted on dash. Oil temperature display doesn't work.

I was going to give them 5 stars but since they won't return emails about issues with the app or offer any kind of customer support, I'm only giving them 2 for leaving me hanging.

This thing doesn't work all the time and since the last update I have not been able to use it at all for 3 months now please help! it is for a Jaguar F-TYPE s model

The app could have more tools for a "paid" app (just works if you buy a $100 adapter), hoping to see more frequent updates. Not working on a Suzuki vitara. NICE DESIGN

1) MAJOR ANNOYANCE: custom Dashboard doesn't log or remember any session min-max values until Dashboard is actually displayed; forgets (zeroes out) all session max values if Dashboard is closed (say to view a report) and then reopened. i need min-max recorded and retained for an entire trip/session, whether or not the Dashboard is displayed. 2) needs OFFLINE ability to view & graph saved Reports & logs, in-app, instead of suddenly going data dead when disconnected. 3) need full app DECODES of all Toyota defined "TID"s. 4) with latest firmware, app no longer updates cylinder misfires in real time - requires manual Mode $06 refreshes. 5) needs to be able to Dashboard any user selected PIDs (like Engine Misfires). 6) not reading any Toyota O2 sensors for Mode $05. 7) doesn't Dashboard AVERAGE (aka Trip) Fuel Economy (only "Instant" and "Lifetime" FE). way short of 5-stars for now...

Pretty awesome tool! Smooth functioning with fast data read! All that's missing is a user manual to help customize dashboards and configure /calibrate obd parameters to vehicle.

Great app overall, some flaws but I'm sure they will be fixed if addressed. One thing that should definitely be added in my opinion is a distance to expty feature.

Great app, just still some things could be improved a bit more. Would like more display types eg. graphs, led bars or just simple text without any decoration. Also to be able to do logging and use the dashboard would be awesome. Get this in and you got a 5 star from me! PS. Auto connecting would be nice too :)

It tried to update the firmware on my OBDLink MX, but failed half way through and now it doesn't work at all.

Will not even connet. "Command timmed out" everytime. 100% useless product. This company scammed kickstarter investors out of 100s of thousands of dollars.

This app does everything I expect it to do flawlessly. The only thing I would add is the ability to log cleared codes.

It's a great device that helped me allot to identify the issues that I was trying to identify. I have a Benz and the diagnostics are on the dot. Thank you guys for the good job.

Clears the light but trouble code is still there. It don't remove completely

Gauges do not display correctly with android devices with custom DPI settings

The horsepower gauges do not work with my AMG G63.

Its great for being a free app, but i will check out Torque to compare. I like the customization. The dials are pretty simple but again its good for what it is.

Fixed the issues! Only bad thing is no dodge vehicles!

It really helps when trying to explain to someone over the phone. You can give them almost all info they could need.

Does what it's supposed to do it save me money. I'm able to do a lot of fixes myself instead of depending on a mechanic.

The latest update made it to where it won't connect with obdlink lx with a tmobile galaxy s8.
