Titanium Backup ★ root for Android
Edit: Forced to drop this to 4 stars due to restoring Android ID no longer functioning on Android 8.0. It continues to pop up every time the app starts. NO RESPONCE from Dev after several weeks. This is by far the best and most useful app I have ever bought. I could not imagine my phone with out it! This is the first app you should install after rooting you phone! Must have! Flashing ROMs would be a day long process without it. Setting up a brand new phone would be tidious and less fun.So many uses and never had 1 issue with the app at all!
This app should no longer require root. Many apps no longer require root due to changes in Android. At least the app should offer basic functionality of saving user .apk files even if it cannot save system .apk files. Really expect more from the developer for this price.
After migrating to a new phone I found the application is unable to download the backup stored in the cloud. I've contacted support several month ago and they never replied. Will ask for a refund
The only issue I have that whenever I recover app+data for some apps, their push notifications don't work anymore. For example when flashing a new ROM and I recover apps with data via TB this way, I don't receive any notifications anymore for some apps. Normal recovery via Google would have worked flawlessly.
My biggest gripe is the lack of a menu button on GUI. It would help so much to have that simple function because I'm using s7 which has recent apps button and back button, no options button so I have to download button mapper to get the options because I'm not aware of any other way to get the menu up. Please FIX THIS ASAP
Been using for years. It is the one app I've never uninstalled, any issues that came up after Android updates or new device released has always been fixed within a reasonable amount of time. Pro is well worth the cost, and I paid around 2011. I feel like I should donate :)
There's been two problems I've had consistently. One, when I convert a system app to a user app, it rarely works. It will allow me to uninstall updates to the app, but not remove it completely. Two, system apps that I try to uninstall usually REMAIN in my app drawer, but they're not usable. After about ten minutes, one of them will start force closing repeatedly, forcing me to reboot. At least then the apps are gone, but it's still really annoying. Third, I agree with "A Google User," this app needs an overhaul. It looks exactly the same as it did back in the Cupcake days.
Bought Pro in 2011. As a root user, Titanium has become essential to my phone. And now I have a Verizon Pixel through work. Please give us poor souls some non-root functionality.
I'm using redmi note 2 and whenever I tried freezing some apps, it says the apps have been freeze, but nothing happened. please fix this. another issues, can't restore back any apps that have been backed up..
Oh dear. I just cannot spend any more time on this nonsense. All I want is a full backup of everything onto my network. An image copy. A simple and obvious need. I found a guide on their web site. It tells me to use a "Menu" button. There is no menu button, so for me there are no available preferences. Three hours of chargeable time down the pan. Thanks Titanium.
Well, it keeps crashing. Android N 7.1 CM based Lineage OS. With and without xposed. I'm trying everything I can. It won't stop crashing.
However, the UI feels so... Out of date, but it's an app o can't live without so I'll cope. Wouldn't mind a visual update though. Thanks!
Using TB after a long time. Long ago I had purchased pro license once but now Playstore doesn't show this as already purchased. Do I need to pay again?
Love this app, have been using it since my first android device. I think a android material design update is long due.
Now the damn thing don't even work at all Samsung Galaxy Tab a 10 .01 what's the point of an app if it doesn't work at all and yet you expect people to pay for it hahaha
hey dev i love your app this is temporary 1 star please add option to restore only app without root it can be done with android installer bcz i have old backups and now i want to restore only apps and i don't want to root my phone
Titanium backup has stopped, everytime I even tried downloading older versions and its still doesn't work, it doesn't even wanna open at all
Now wont detect pro key what makes me so so happy.thanks for no support and nope i dont recoment it either
The update lists oreo support but nothing works. Can't restore apps and you can't freeze or uninstall apps.
This is by far the first app I install after flashing the ROM. I primarily use it to backup and restore 4GB+ of applications. The Pro version works wonders.
I purchased the pro version way back then it tells me that I'm using the trial version.
I have purchased the pro key but my titaium app still in free version. I tried to install and reinstalled both key and pro app but no gain. What should i do now?
Good app, has it's problems. Developer is very helpful. I use pro version, worth the dollars. pro is worth 5 stars
Doesn't work on Oreo 8.1. Keeps stopping and won't run. I have used prior versions without problem but this version for 8.1 seems to absolutely not load.
Converting apps to system apps is now broken for over a year, tried it with multiple devices/roms.
I've been using this for years. Tried some alternatives along the way. By now there might be better apps but aside from some random apps not wanting to restore, I rarely have problems so why change after all this time.
It used to be a good app. On my old HTC Wildfire the Pro key is not found
Why do the best root apps always have the worst design tho.. great job anyways!
I payed for the pro version but the schedule does not work
When restoring apps it gets stuck at 0% so I have to go to preferences -> processing mode and change it to Interactive meaning I have to install manually every app by hitting "install" then "done"
Every time when I am trying to restore App+ data app FC where I can send you log ? android.content.ActivityNotFoundException: Unable to find explicit activity class {com.android.packageinstaller/com.android.packageinstaller.PackageInstallerActivity}; have you declared this activity in your AndroidManifest.xml? at android.app.Instrumentation.checkStartActivityResult(Instrumentation.java) at android.app.Instrumentation.execStartActivity(Instrumentation.java) at android.app.Activity.startActivityForResult(Activity.java) at android.app.Activity.startActivityForResult(Activity.java) at o.dS.ˊ(Source:236) at o.k.ˊ(Source:443) at o.C.run(Source:200) at o.dw.run(Source:154) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:818)
But in Android 6.0.1 applications that are on the sd card are not visible.
One request to developer that please add video guide to all the features.... There are lots and lots of features in TITANIUM BACKUP.... How did they manage to create this awesome app/tool ? TASKER AND TITANIUM BACKUP are the best app among all.
Awful app.. The design sucks, backup function is badly designed.
Backup is a misleading name... Does lots of other powerful things.
So many useful functions for rooted users. The app has been a life saver many times over and has only gotten better. Great app, highly recommend if you have root.
You helped me to remove virus that was bugging me up thanks for help
Its a really good app but I messed something up and now it crashes immediately after I boot it.
Není zde žádná jiná aplikace, která by uměla to, co Titanium (bohužel). Ale rozhodně by aplikace mohla být přehlednější, jednodušší a pohodlnější.

It is great... But. It doesn't include some important app data that may be stored in /sdcard/Android/obb that prevents some paid apps from functioning after restore. Thankfully I already knew this. So it's not an issue for me, but it would be nice to see an option somehow to integrate this.
