I chose this app to help with quitting smoking and I was also interested in the meditation aspect. Three weeks in it is a big help. For me five minutes is the perfect amount of time for a short meditation period as well as helping to endure a cigarette craving. As a beginner a longer program would be impossible to complete as well as impractical many times during a busy day. The bell is a pleasant sound and its cycle is perfect for inhale count exhale count breathing excercises. Simple. I highly recomend!
I adore this app. I don't use it doing serious meditation usually (i don't have the discipline for that outside about 30 secs in yoga class) but just keeping it there where you can see it, even just in your car can be very soothing - at least it is for me.
Start off with small intervals & moving to longer ones with each level reached is a nice. Quotes range from average to fairly thoughtful. The chime/ending tone isn't loud enough for the hard of hearing. If there was a way to choose between various sounds with different pitches that would be very helpful. (Also, being HoH I'm not sure if there is any background music. If there is it's too soft for me to hear; if not, it might be a nice feature to add.)
This is an very great app. For ppl wanting to start to break them selves in for longer meditation programs but are too restless to focus or those that want that 3min of peace. We live in a face pace world and we need to stop and stand still! Love love love this app. :) the words of wisdom are just what I need at that moment!
With all the stress I get from work and my gay partner, I can barely stay sane. With the addition of quiting cigarette smoking. It was just too much to handle. My coworkers all recommended that I try some meditation. So I did some research, learned about some beneficial breathing exercises. Now I have been regularly meditating for 5 days now. I'm not gonna say I have reached enlightenment yet, I'm far for that. I do know that I feel a lot more relaxed and calm. I haven't had a craving for a smoke yet.
I really like how this is set up, with the tones, thoughts and levels. I would like to see a couple edits though. First, don't punish new users with repetitive phrases; open up a little more variety at lower levels. Two, I thought when I shared to Facebook and such it posted a link to my meditative thought. It's just a link to the app. That's lame. You should show the screen so people can share in the great thought I just meditated on.
I lost the sounds at second playing. I can't change the duration of the session and I am stuck at 3 minutes. I actually find the sounds a bit jarring, so I had to use white noise to soften them. For me, softer sounds would be more relaxing and should at least be a choice. The quotes do noit really inspire me and repeat a lot
Images and sayings are random. You progress through levels by "completing" timed meditations, but you can't customize each meditation length. I wanted to keep them as 3mins but they automatically increase as you do more. The lowest "maximum" length you can select is 15mins. Would be good for someone looking to increase their meditation length slowly but to a very long final time since the maximum "maximum" is 50mins.
I love the app but there are a couple things that I'd love to see changed. First, every time I hit the plane icon the app crashes. Second, once you complete level 10 (which doesn't happen it just stays 1 click away from finishing) you should be able to set your meditation time to whatever you want.
This is just a tool but it's a good one for those that are just starting to meditate. Short starting points,Good thoughts(in case you have a hard time coming up with those yourself), and even a nice bell to bring it to a close.(bell sound could reverberate longer)... All in all, it's free access to inner peace. Get some. Or stay the grump you think people think you are. It's your choice.
I thought that I would have to buy a cd player and mediation CDS like I did in the past. I have no money so I searched the Play store hoping to find an immediate and free solution and found this app. I was amazed that it even exists! I downloaded it to my smartphone and every morning press it and it provides one thought to meditate on accompanied by a chime that I used to tell me when to inhale and exhale. It is so relaxing and invigorating at the same time. I was trained on mindfulness that helps.
Inspirational quotes, simple yet effective pictures, and good options....like just having a reminder at the end of meditation. Unfortunately it seems to drain my battery after using it each day. If I don't use it, the battery doesn't drain. (Galaxy S2). Fix that, and I'd give it 5 stars :-)
Great app with some neat features. I wish it would let me change the reminder time and take my phone out of standby mode as I have to keep the screen on for the end chime to play. Other than those two gripes I foresee myself using this a lot!
Don't be like me and avoid a meditation app. This simple tool provides a useful reminder to meditate and an option to take 3 minutes. I was making the mistake of looking for 30 uninterrupted minutes in the day, on the few days I'd think to meditate at all. This app helps me avoid the "perfect as enemy of the good" trap.
The app is very simple and useful,it does what it says. yet the quotes it uses aren't all Bhuddas' even though they have been credited to Buddha by the internet. I think they should filter out the ones that aren't actually Bhuddas. I'd recommend looking at the fakebhuddaquote blog. Otherwise, its a great app
Few bells and whistles and just the way I like it. My use case is 5-10 min a day. Not a hard core meditator, just looking to practice a good small habit each day. Wish there was a way to set your meditation length. Right now the program controls it and ratchets up the time. But what if I don't really want to meditate for 15 min? :-)
Makes meditation easy!...we'll almost;) It at least gives you the tools to help quiet your mind and focus on words of wisdom to lead your meditation. A reminder also pops up on your phone if you miss a daily session. Great app for beginners!
I am just getting back into meditation. This is a great tool to help me ease back into a regular meditation practice. The Zen bell sounds/works okay; I have not tried the other sounds. I do wish, however, that there was a larger collection of quotes. The ones in the app keep repeating. For a basic, beginner meditation tool, it is just fine.
Literally a few minutes a day -- so do-able. 1. Click the app icon. 2. Then click the start button which displays a peaceful image, a wise saying, and starts up the timer. 3. Finally, it dings when finished. Thanks dev for making this so wonderfully uncomplicated and easy! Love it!
This app contains profound words of wisdom to meditate on and contemplate. Each quote is allotted around 3 minutes. The only thing I wish is that it had optional music playing in the background, and an option to go through the quotes without waiting 3 minutes each time. Excellent app otherwise!
I got this App to start meditating, cause I forget to do it myself. Having this on my phone, since I have my phone all the time. Gives me the opportunity to meditate anywhere, at any time. All I need is my phone, headphones, and the Buddist Meditation App. Easy to do meditations that actually work. The best part about this App is you can set it to remind you, do longer meditations, and use a sound of your choice all in the settings. Great App, I would recommend everyone to get it.
Have put this on my phone for a bit of calming relaxation. Nice to see there are no advertisements in the meditation section just a picture. The only thing I can't hear is the bell too well, and I have my phone volume to the highest setting. Otherwise a top app.
Provides a quote, mantra or other words of wisdom to center your meditation on. You can set the length of time: 3 minutes on up. You can set whether you want to hear meditative bells or just one to signal the time is up. I like the daily reminder to meditate. It's a simple app. Nothing fancy.... Which is why I keep going back to it.
This app asks nothing of you except to meditate and maybe share your experience. There is no information shared, no adds, no money to be made. It is the purest expression of genuine interest in the user that I have ever seen. It is not fancy, it just wants to help you meditate!
Great tool to help you create space in your schedule for meditation, really like bell /ring. It can be use it to help refocus attention back to your breath or to the phrase your meditationing on. Wish you could change length of time as your meditation progress. I use it at work to give mental breaks give me space, so 3 mins are fine
I love this app!!! I have downloaded it to my HTC phone, kindle, and LG g pad. So far they work great on all 3. My only complaint is after putting it on each device i have to start on lvl 1 again. Easy to get past if I start a session one after another to make up the time from my 1st download on my phone
This was the best app for meditation, until the update. It would be great if regular bells are introduced back. Also whenever I try to put the phone on flight mode from the app button, during a session the app halts.I am Running Android marshmallow on moto g3, if that helps.
It is really a nice app. Helps me relax and start a new day with no worries. The only problem is. That when i start it, sound doesnt appear on time.. So i have to press all sound options to make it work. This takes my meditation time as well
After 4 or 5 sets as I level up to 2 my third eye is completly exposed. Tingling more then it ever has with any meditation session. Its helpful motivation towards meditation also. Makes my ride to worl very enlightening :) THANK YOU! GREAT VIBES FROM THIS ONE! one love
The application has a mute button to mute or allow sounds. The thing is that there are no sounds during the meditations, save for the closing bell/bowl. What would be very great would be to have actual sounds during the three-minute meditation, and real sounds ~ say, ambient music and environmental sounds. Otherwise, there are other meditation applications far more useful. I am overall completely unimpressed by this application.
I wish I could take 15 minutes to meditate every day but my current schedule doesn't allow for it. This app helps me get in just 3 minutes here and there when I need it. The bell is also an awesome reminder to bring you back to your state as I tend to have horrible racing thoughts. Love it.
The app works perfectly as described. No ads, thank buddha. I find the most inslteresting words of wisdom correlating to a time when I really needed to hear them in my life. Is this app the Buddha himself??? Probably not, but still very cool
I don't understand how so many 5 star reviews! The heart and soul of this app is the sound recordings, AND THEY ARE TERRIBLE. The sounds don't fade away into infinity as a real bell does, they turn off towards the end. As you listen to the bells, the beautiful sound is what you focus on, then "click", as the sounds stops, "mid-sound". APPALLING!
The time in levels of this program work excellently to convince people that 3 minutes a day is all that you need. Slowly working them into longer sessions. Only thing i could find was that the daily reminders don't happen if you turn your phone off at night.
No pressure trying to find a significant amount of time to redirect your mind from the rush of the day. I just find a nice little spot to pull over before going home from work. A few minutes and I'm ready to get into family mode. It's a great way to start building meditation into my schedule.
i just click the button, a picture, quote, and timer pops up and i meditate for the duration of the time limit. it even has a chime or bell going off at intervals to keep me on track and sounds quite wonderful. i also like that it reminds me every day to meditate. thanks for a great and simple app!
So I am completely disappointed w/this app! In order to get to the next level, you have to 'share' the app. Duhh, the whole point of meditation is to clear your mind, not go on Facebook or send an email afterwards! & even when I decided to play their game & 'share it' only 1 out of 3 times it moved me to the next level. Very selfish app. Sadly I had high hopes for it, now I'm uninstalling it.
I just wish it didn't force you to be at a beginner level. I would like it a lot better if I could choose however long I wanted to meditate for instead of having to.constantly quit meditating to start a new 3 min session over and over again. I don't like the leveling up idea but overall I like the idea of it.
I am on level 6 of 10... Still quite repetitive, and I don't get any sound didn't know there was any... An instant quote is nice though, just be better with more variety, google "quotes" with any other word like "budda " or "inspiring" seriously there is heaps!

Meditation is not concerned with religious that can be done for everyone for any religious. It is very useful for concentration, decision making and daily life. Try it right now! Sit or quite or any peaceful position and breathe regularly without too fast and too slow. While sitting and breathing like that you must concentrate, don't think other. Just focus on your breathing in and out. Just try it now only 3 min.
